Wayne Schepens

Wayne Schepens brings over 20 years of technical and government experience to his clients. As Managing Director, he delivers product and corporate messaging, business strategy and positioning, as well as thought leadership services to innovative technology companies. Wayne has expertly advised companies through all phases of business from fund raising and start-up status to product launch and strategic acquisition.

His government service culminated with the National Security Agency (NSA) where in his most recent position he served as Chief of the Office of Global Network Awareness within the NSA Threat Operations Center. In addition, Wayne has worked with the U.S. Military Academy and Naval Surface Warfare Center.

He earned a Master of Science degree from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Engineering from SUNY Maritime College in Electrical Engineering. Wayne played semi-professional baseball and continues to coach and run clinics with Ripken Baseball.

Wayne Schepens formed NW2 Engineers in 2005 and provides business and engineering oversight. Wayne is experienced in all aspects of development to include design, permitting, site preparation, construction, and inspection. He has as over 20 years of professional engineering experience with complex systems to include electrical, cogeneration, and nuclear power generation, water treatment, refrigeration, information, and weapons control systems. Wayne earned a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.

Managed the Office of Global Network Awareness (GNA), which was responsible for coordinating all network analysis activities as they relate to understanding and characterizing networks of interest to the National Security Agency.

Verified proper lab and shipboard system integration and installation of new/revised software and hardware builds for the Advanced Tomahawk Weapons Control System (ATWCS).

Designed electrical plant load distribution systems for nuclear and conventional powered vessels under government contract.

Test Engineering Instructor Prepared test engineers for qualification and critical operations/key events for A4W Reactor Plants concerning electrical plant and steam plant load distribution, operations, and casualty procedures.
